Member of the Month: Aimee’s Empowering Fitness Journey

This month, we are thrilled to celebrate Aimee as our Member of the Month! Her journey into fitness wasn’t just about changing how she looked—it was about reclaiming her energy, her strength, and her confidence as a woman and entrepreneur. And she’s done just that with heart, humor, and a fierce determination that’s impossible to ignore.

As our Member of the Month, Aimee will enjoy some well-earned rewards: a 50-minute personal training session, a rejuvenating infrared sauna experience, and her very own spotlight on our front screen display. We couldn’t be more proud of her ongoing progress and the positive energy she brings to our community every week.


“I started my fitness journey to support my hormones and overall wellbeing…”

Aimee’s story begins with something many of us can relate to—working from home. While the flexibility can be great, it often comes at a cost: less movement, less structure, and more mental fatigue. As a busy business owner, Aimee began to notice the toll this lifestyle was taking on her.

“My energy, mood, and focus were off,” she shares. “I knew I had to do something not just for my body, but for my mind too. Supporting my hormones and overall wellbeing became my driving force.”

That internal nudge—quiet but persistent—pushed Aimee to take the first step. And like so many who walk through our doors, that step quickly turned into momentum.


From “Intimidated” to “I Am Strong”

Walking into a gym for the first time (or the first time in a while) can be intimidating—especially when you’re unsure where to begin. Aimee didn’t let that stop her.

“One of my biggest challenges was just making the time. Running a business means I’m always busy,” she says. “I used to feel intimidated and unsure, but I’ve learned that consistency matters more than perfection.”

That mindset shift—showing up even when life is hectic—was a game changer. And with the guidance of our trainers Laurie and Taylor, Aimee began building a routine that worked with her life, not against it.

She laughs when she reflects on her early gym days: “I never really lifted weights and had no idea how to use the equipment. But now, it’s easy. And honestly? My favorite compliment is when the trainers say, ‘You’re strong!’”

Those three words carry so much power. For Aimee, they’re not just about muscles. They represent every choice she made to prioritize herself, every barrier she pushed through, and every drop of sweat that built a better version of herself.


Changing the Narrative Around Fitness

Before joining Future Fitness, Aimee admits she had a very different idea of what training would be like.

“I used to think trainers just screamed at you or pushed you to your limits in a scary way,” she confesses. “But this has actually been fun! Thanks to Laurie and Taylor, working out is something I look forward to now—it’s like a social activity.”

That’s one of the things that sets Future Fitness apart. We believe that fitness should fit your life and lift you up, not tear you down. It’s about connection, encouragement, and making progress at your own pace.

For Aimee, that supportive atmosphere made all the difference. It transformed the gym from a place of pressure to a place of possibility.


Aimee’s Advice: “Find your reason, get support, and start small.”

If you’re standing at the beginning of your own fitness journey, unsure of how to begin, Aimee has some advice for you:

“If it matters to you, you’ll make the change. If not, ask yourself why. We spend so easily on eating out or shopping, but the best investment is moving your body and feeling strong.”

She emphasizes that you don’t need to go all-in on day one. Start small. Ten minutes a day. A short walk. A simple movement. Then build from there. And most importantly—get support.

“Find a trainer, find a community. You don’t have to do this alone.”
